The dosage may be increased in severe infections to 1-2 drops every 2 hours. Method of Administration: ● Eye Drops: They should be instilled directly into the eye. The patient should lean back and use his finger to pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket. The bottle should be held above the eye, and the drops should be squeezed out as prescribed. ● Ointment: Apply a small amount (approximately 1/2 inch ribbon) into the conjunctival sac(s) up to three or four times daily or as directed by a healthcare provider.
