-Alectinib is administered in the form of oral capsules. Normally, it is ingested twice a day alongside a meal. Maintain a consistent schedule by taking alectinib around the same times each day. Adhere closely to the instructions on your prescription label, and seek clarification from your doctor or pharmacist regarding any unclear aspects. Abide by the prescribed dosage without altering it. Ingest the capsules whole; do not break or dissolve them. In case of vomiting after taking alectinib, refrain from immediately taking another dose. Stick to your regular dosing routine. If you encounter certain side effects from alectinib, your doctor might temporarily or permanently halt treatment or adjust your dose. Keep your doctor informed about your well-being throughout the treatment. Even if you feel well, continue taking alectinib. Before making any changes, consult your doctor. • Constipation
• Diarrhea
• Swelling in hands, face, or eyelids

• Weight gain
• Rash
Certain side effects may be severe. If you encounter any of these symptoms or those mentioned in the PRECAUTIONS section, contact your doctor urgently:
• New or worsening breathlessness, difficulty breathing, or cough
• Fever
• Sudden chest pain
• Dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting
• Changes in vision
• Sudden muscle tenderness, weakness, or pain
• Back pain
• Fatigue
• Rash
• Itchy skin
• Decreased appetite
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Jaundice (yellowing of skin/eyes)
• Abdominal pain on the right side
• Alteration in urine color or amount
• Aggravated leg or foot swelling
• Increased bleeding or bruising susceptibility

-Store this medication in its original container, tightly sealed, and out of children's reach. Keep it at room temperature, shielded from light, excess heat, and moisture (avoid storing it in the bathroom). Dispose of unused medications using safe methods to prevent accidental consumption by pets, children, or others. Do not flush the medication down the toilet. Opt for a medicine take-back program for proper disposal. If such a program is unavailable, consult your local waste disposal department. Given that various medication containers are not child-resistant, ensure to keep them hidden from sight and reach. To prevent accidental ingestion, always secure safety caps and store the medication out of children's reach.

Before initiating alectinib:
• Inform your doctor and pharmacist about any allergies to alectinib, other medications, or ingredients in alectinib capsules. Inquire with your pharmacist about a list of ingredients.
• Detail your current prescription, nonprescription drugs, vitamins, supplements, and herbal products to your doctor and pharmacist. Mention medications for high blood pressure or heart conditions. Your doctor might need to adjust dosages or monitor you closely for potential side effects.
• Disclose any history of liver disease, lung/breathing issues, or irregular heartbeat.
• Notify your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or aiming to father a child. Avoid pregnancy during alectinib treatment. If female, use reliable birth control during treatment and for at least 1 week after the last dose. If male, practice effective birth control with your partner during treatment and for 3 months post-last dose. In case of pregnancy while on alectinib, contact your doctor promptly, as it could harm the fetus.
• Share if you are breastfeeding. Avoid breastfeeding while on alectinib and for 1 week after the last dose.
• Plan to minimize excessive sun exposure, including sunlamps and tanning beds. Wear protective attire, and sunglasses, and use SPF 50+ sunscreen during alectinib treatment and for at least 7 days after the last dose, as alectinib can heighten sun sensitivity.
