Domperidone, the active ingredient in Motilium, functions by inhibiting dopamine receptors within the GI tract. Dopamine receptors play a role in regulating muscle contractions in the stomach and intestines. By blocking these receptors, Motilium enhances the movement of food through the GI tract

Usage	The typical dosage is 10 mg administered orally, with a maximum frequency of up to three times per day before meals. It's advisable to take Motilium 15-30 minutes prior to your meals. The highest daily dose of Motilium should not exceed 30 mg. When addressing sudden episodes of nausea and vomiting, Motilium should be limited to a maximum duration of one week. In the case of diabetic gastroparesis, it is recommended not to extend Domperidone use beyond four weeks.
