Additional information

Usage

Usage
-Axitinib is available in tablet form for oral administration. Typically, it is taken twice daily, with or without food, at roughly 12-hour intervals. Adhere meticulously to the instructions on your prescription label, and seek clarification from your doctor or pharmacist for any uncertainties. Take axitinib precisely as prescribed; avoid altering the dosage or frequency without your doctor's guidance. Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water; do not break, chew, or crush them. If vomiting occurs after taking axitinib, refrain from taking an additional dose. Maintain your regular dosing routine.
Your doctor may initiate treatment with a low axitinib dose and gradually raise it, but no more frequently than once every 2 weeks. This adjustment hinges on your response to the medication and any potential side effects. Keep an open dialogue with your doctor regarding your treatment experience. Even if you feel well, continue taking axitinib as directed. Do not cease treatment without consulting your doctor. You can request a copy of the manufacturer's patient information from your pharmacist or doctor.
